JACOB ASCHKENASY concentrates primarily in the area of corporate law and related litigation. In addition, Mr. Aschkenasy is actively engaged in alternative dispute resolution, both in arbitration and mediation. His corporate practice has included the negotiation and drafting of numerous shareholders and partnership agreements, employment agreements, licensing agreements and counseling the principals of closely-held corporations concerning diverse business problems. Mr. Aschkenasy has substantial securities law experience with emphasis on the 1933 and 1934 Acts. For the last 30 years Mr. Aschkenasy has been the chair of the Securities Luncheon Group, a group of senior securities partners in some of the largest national firms, which meets monthly to discuss current developments in securities law. Mr. Aschkenasy has participated in arbitration proceedings in the American Arbitration Association, NASD and the New York Stock Exchange. As a Neutral in the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court, New York County, Mr. Aschkenasy mediates major commercial disputes on a regular basis.
